Runner Stories | Renzo "Pords" Lerio

Coach Pords is usually seen pacing his teammates during races while setting milestones of his own.

His personal bests include:

50km: 4:43:21
42km: 3:29:49
21km: 1:30:25
10km: 39:52
5km: 18:52

He runs and bikes to work every day.

How does he manage such a heavy workload?

  • Adequate sleep
  • Proper warm up and drills
  • Higher cadence, shorter strides = higher efficiency
  • Zone 2 HR cycling for warm up and recovery
  • Regular blood tests
  • Slow starts to keep the heart rate from spiking

We asked Pords about his running journey, and here's what he shared:

After nito, nahilig naman ako mag MTB since nagka ankle injury ako.

Then sunud-sunod na podium finish sa off-road duathlon and MTB races.

Ngayon, ako si Coach Pords at Pacer sa WeKenRun."
